The truth teller lost and the flagrant liar won

So President-Elect Obama has announced that there will be a delay in the tax rollbacks for the wealthy because it would not be wise in this economy.

It might be interesting to make a list of the promises that he does not keep, this being the first (unless another one slipped by when I wasn’t looking). Conservatives can breathe a sigh of relief that Obama is not going to monumentally destroy the economy and liberals can breathe fire that he is failing to keep a promise to stick it to the rich guys and redistribute the wealth.

All this time we had Republican John McCain promising not to raise taxes on anyone and Obama promising to be Robin Hood. The people voted for Obama and as far as the tax goes, they got McCain. Has a trick been played on us? The truth teller lost and the flagrant liar won.
